Best Witcher 3 Remastered Outfit Mods (2026)

By Sidequest Legend 7 min read

Wild Hunt has plenty of armour and clothing, but the default looks can feel same-y after a few runs. The best outfit mods change how a character carries themselves, not just their colours.

Below, I’ve picked outfits that suit each character, plus a few for NPCs and factions. Every mod here carries the Remastered Compatible tag, so they should work with the current patch. Anything that leans adult is left out, so the list stays focused on looks and style.

Yennefer: Off-the-Shoulder Black and a Story-Driven Change

Dynamic Costumes for Yennefer by Teiji swaps her vanilla travel look for her DLC costume after Kaer Morhen. The vanilla outfit has a fur-trimmed jacket, while the DLC look is an off-the-shoulder black top. What I like most is the silhouette, which sits closer to the body and suits her sharp, guarded personality.

The mod’s transition is tied to the story, so the change feels earned rather than random. That matters in Wild Hunt, where her look shifts with the moments that define her arc.

On screen, the dark palette keeps her looking composed even in dim interiors and firelit rooms. Those interiors are where a good outfit matters most, because you spend long stretches in them.

If you want something older but still well loved, Yennefer Clothes Pack by jochan449 is a dependable choice. It was last updated in June 2020 and carries the Remastered Compatible tag on Nexus. Its page lists installation as a simple unpack into your Mods folder, so setup is quick.

Yennefer’s alternative outfit by MasterOfHollows replaces her default look, so you’ll see it in most of her scenes. It was updated on 26 October 2026, so it’s one of the most recent looks in this guide.

Triss: Warm Colours and a Dynamic Shift

Dynamic Costumes for Triss by Teiji follows the Yennefer approach, moving her from her vanilla outfit to a DLC costume. The vanilla look has a golden bodice, while the DLC costume is a deep teal dress with gold detailing. The palette shift is the best part, because teal and gold suit her warm red hair.

Teal stands out against grey stone and wooden docks, so Triss never disappears into a scene. The gold accents catch firelight nicely, which adds warmth to indoor moments and quiet talks.

Triss DLC Outfit Remodeled by jochan449 is an older choice that still looks good. It was updated in April 2020, but it carries the Remastered Compatible tag on Nexus.

If you like simple colour changes, Triss Outfit Recolor by PanLeopold keeps her look close to the original. Its author credits two earlier recolors as inspiration, which shows in the care put into the colours.

Ciri: Summer Lightness and a Story-Linked Alternate

Dynamic Costumes for Ciri by Teiji changes her default costume to the alternate look after the battle at Kaer Morhen. The screenshot shows the setting that switches Ciri to her DLC default, so you can control when it kicks in. That’s useful if you want the look to match your story progress rather than your mood.

Summer colours feel lighter than her usual grey and leather, which is a nice change of pace. It works best for quieter scenes, where a brighter look can feel refreshing after the grim missions.

For a lighter look, Ciri Summer Outfit by EzioMaverick is a dress its author made for a summer-themed modding challenge. It carries the Remastered Compatible tag, and the summer look is light enough for warmer scenes.

Geralt: Blood and Wine Colours and Wolf School Grit

Blood and Wine Cover Art Outfit by SEKT10N recreates the outfit from the official Blood and Wine cover art. In the screenshot, Geralt wears a blue doublet with a leather belt, dark trousers and tall boots. Set against the sunlit stone courtyard, the colours feel warm and lived-in rather than flashy.

Blue and brown are a classic Geralt palette, so this outfit feels like a comfortable change. Wolf School armour is grittier, which suits the moments where Geralt is on the hunt.

If you prefer armour, Witcher 3 Armor Wolf School RECOLORED by jochan449 gives Geralt’s Wolf gear a new colour. It was last updated in September 2021, so it’s an older mod that still fits the classic Wolf look.

NPCs: Eskel, Lambert and a Pool Party

Eskel Outfit Overhaul and Lambert Outfit Overhaul both come from Rev3nuss, and both were updated on 3 October 2026. Each one improves the named character’s outfit, so the look stays true to who they are. The Lambert version pairs well with Eskel’s if you like both characters to match.

Lambert and Eskel are often seen in rough gear, so an overhaul that refines their look feels natural.

For something playful, Gaunter O’Dimm Pool Party Outfit by Dragoncat2129 adds arm floaties, a watermelon tube and flippers. It was updated on 18 October 2026, and it’s a fun change for an otherwise serious cast.

Gaunter O’Dimm is a memorable character, so a cheeky outfit can make his scenes stand out.

It’s a silly look, and it’s the kind of joke you’ll smile at mid-quest.

Factions: Nilfgaard, Redania and the Viper School

Faction armour helps the world feel organised, since each group has its own visual identity. Nilfgaard, Redania and the Viper School all have strong looks that stand out in crowds.

Redanian Halberdiers with proper armor by ScoutBr0 gives the guards armour they never seemed to use. In the screenshot, a Redanian guard wears a red tabard over steel armour, with a helmet and a long halberd. The red and steel mix reads clearly from a distance, which is exactly what a city guard needs.

Redania’s guards wear red well, and the halberd sells the idea of a city watch.

Royal Guard for Nilfgaardian DLC Armor and Pants by teresatiger retextures the DLC armour and pants. It was last updated in November 2018, so it’s a classic pick for a Nilfgaard-style look.

Tailor-Made Viper Armor by thef1210 adjusts the Viper armour so it fits Geralt better in game. That fit matters, because a badly fitting set can ruin the silhouette you were going for.

Viper armour has a sleek, dangerous feel, and the medallion ties the whole look together.

If you like the Viper school look, White Viper medallion by nerevarine211 swaps Geralt’s pendant. It was updated on 21 October 2026, and it’s a small detail that changes the whole look.

A Useful Tool: Wardrobe Presets

Wardrobe Presets – Save and Switch Outfits (Remastered) by Jolamods lets you swap looks from the pause menu. It keeps your equipped items while you switch, which is great for mixing outfits with gear. Presets are the easiest way to build outfits you can switch between without digging through menus.

It’s still a beta, version 0.1.0, so expect a few rough edges along the way.

How to Install Outfit Mods Safely

Start by backing up your save files and your game folder before you install anything new. Next, install The Witcher 3 Mod Manager and use it to add and enable each outfit. If a page says to unpack into the mods folder, follow that instruction exactly.

Then launch the game and test each outfit in a quiet area before a big quest. Some outfits replace the same vanilla file, so avoid installing two outfits for one character. Older outfits may need a patch from their author, so check the Changelogs tab if something looks wrong.

Keep a note of which mods you installed, so it’s easy to undo one that causes trouble. A simple list saves a lot of frustration when you need to troubleshoot a crash later.

Final Thoughts

Outfits are a small change, but they can make Wild Hunt feel personal again. Pick a few favourites, keep the older ones that still work, and let the newest ones surprise you.

Tell me in the comments which look you’re running, and what I should test next.
